La Quintana de Villar is placed in the East of Asturias, in the North of Spain.
It is nailed in Arriondas's village, the capital of Parres's County. Other important cities are Cangas de Onís , Ribadesella, Llanes , etc.

Arriondas is placed one to the feet of the Sueve Mountain , and it near the Sella and Piloña rivers, nowadays the village presents a renewed physiognomy, proved from the modernization and the experienced urbanization, at the beginning of the XX.

| From the plateau we prune to cross the Pajares Port in railroad or by road AS-18 (reflected in red colour in the map), also we prune to use it A-66 highway of toll of the Huerna up to Oviedo (blue color in the map), more comfortable and sure, for both we will come to Campomanes and to Oviedo (N-630), from there we must continue direction Santander, Arriondas is to 65Km of Oviedo. |

| The Airport of Asturias is in Ranón village to 43 km of Oviedo and to 39 km of Gijon. |

| IMPORTANTLY : In 2003 there was inaugurated the highway of the Cantabrian, that joins Llanes with Oviedo, if we want to come to Arriondas from Oviedo we must leave the above mentioned highway in the Exit 14 (to approximately 8 minutes of Oviedo) whose indicator puts: Lieres and Arriondas N-634 , from this form we will come to Arriondas for the National road 634 in few 35 minutes. If we come from Santander we must leave the highway of the Cantabrian one in Llovio (Ribadesella) , direction Arriondas and Picos de Europa, for N-634. |

La Quintana de Villar is in the hillside of The Peña Villar, in Arriondas's surrounding areas.
Once in Arriondas we must take the road direction to Colunga and Alto de El Fito , continuing for this road 600 meters we will find, in margin left of the road, a detour with a warning cartel of La Quintana de Villar
